Welcome
You will find our farm Österby in the middle of Skåne between Trollenäs and Trolleholm castles. We welcome you to stay in a beautiful open landscape in quiet rural peace.
BED & BREAKFAST
In the middle of Skåne on the edge of Västra Strö village, you will find our accommodation, which is open all year round. The farm is surrounded by rolling farmland and Saxån's serpentine loops. Here it is close to everything such as forest walks, castles and parks, golf courses, Söderåsen National Park, Flyinge Studeri etc.
We who welcome you to live on the farm are Birgitta and Ingemar Persmarken. Our dog also belongs to the family. The farm consists of a number of buildings and the rooms in our B&B are all separated from the residential building.
OUR ROOMS
We offer both rooms with single and double beds.
All rooms have a private bathroom with toilet and shower.
THE ANNEX (single beds)
The annex has three separate single rooms with private bathroom/wc. They have a shared kitchenette with dining area. All equipment is available for self-catering. In addition to glassware and crockery and preparation vessels, etc., there is a small fridge, hotplates, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and toaster.
There is the possibility to sit outside and each room has free WiFi and satellite TV.
THE YELLOW ROOM (double bed)
Equipped with double beds and private bathroom/wc. Shared kitchenette where you can eat your own prepared breakfast or the one we bring out at a bar counter. In addition to glassware and crockery and preparation vessels, etc., there is a small fridge, hotplates, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and toaster.
There is the possibility to sit outside and each room has free WiFi and satellite TV.
THE BLUE ROOM (double bed)
Equipped with double bed and private bathroom/wc. Here there is a shared kitchenette where you can eat your own prepared breakfast or the one we bring out at a bar counter. In addition to glassware and crockery and preparation vessels, etc., there is a small fridge, hotplates, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and toaster.
There is the possibility to sit outside and each room has free WiFi and satellite TV.
THE APARTMENT
The bedroom has a wide twin bed. The living room, which has satellite TV, has a seating area and two extra beds can be placed here. The kitchen with a good dining area for four people is equipped with everything necessary. Here you can easily prepare breakfast or dinner yourself. The apartment has its own entrance.
It is possible to sit outside on your own green patio and the apartment has free WiFi and satellite TV.
The apartment is only rented out for whole weeks, minimum one week.
PRICES
All prices include sheets and towels. Free WiFi and Satellite TV in all rooms.
Single room: SEK 800/night.
Double rooms: SEK 900/night.
Extra bed: SEK 200 per person per night.
Breakfast: SEK 90/person.
Pets or smoking in the rooms are not allowed.
We accept payment by credit card.
Cancellations made within 24 hours before arrival will be charged one night as above.
Information about nearby places to eat, culture and events is available.
Businesses with opening hours 8.00 – 21.00 can be found in Eslöv.
ABOUT US
We who welcome you to live on the farm are Birgitta and Ingemar Persmarken. Our dog also belongs to the family.
In the summer of 2008, the expansion of our new Bed & Breakfast was ready and has since then both been expanded and renovated in different stages. The farm was run between 1975 and spring 2009 as a crop-based family farm, which was always the basis for all our operations.
With us, innovative thinking has been the driving force, which means that we, on a smaller part of the farm, have tested new exciting things to grow. This has given us many experiences, exciting challenges and new contacts over the years.
Among other things, we grew wormwood for the popular "Piratens Besk" schnapps, which is part of Systembolaget's range.
For 16 years, we grew and harvested everlastings on the farm. The eternals were mainly sold as ready-made arrangements from the farm shop "titti's eternals". The shop has now been converted into a small apartment that we rent out for longer periods.
For many years we also grew bouquets of decorative seeds for shops and private individuals all over the country. The assortment consisted of poppy capsules, flax, durum wheat, Texas wheat, rye wheat, oats, wheat, barley and rye.
In 1986 we started with Salix. It was originally intended for energy forest, but it turned out that the willow shoots were more in demand for the production of wicker fences and garden art. In 1997 we were invited to Skansen where we made a living fence and a leaf hut. A low fence of dried willow shoots was also built to frame the cultivation beds at Skogaholms Herrgård.
At Fredriksdal's gardens in Helsingborg, we have erected an arbor of live willow shoots and at the garden days at Sofiero, we have participated a couple of times and shown our material. Over the years, we have had many satisfied customers who spread the word and advertised our business. Thanks for that!
Nowadays we sell Spannfod AB's dog food, for example Mästers complete, Mästers Jakt and Mästers extra+.
On the farm today there is also a small shop "blomster@persmarken" which is run by one of our daughters. The shop is open during spring and autumn and then sells bulbs and tubers in season. Much of the range is planted around the farm and is there for you to enjoy.
SURROUNDINGS
You will also find that it is walking distance to the greenery of beech forests, Trollenäs and Trolleholm castle parks. It was at Trolleholm Castle that TV's "Stars at the Castle" was initially set.

We often have guests who choose to stay here in connection with weddings or other celebrations at one of the castles.
By car, it doesn't take many minutes to get to Eslöv, which is the nearest town. You can reach Copenhagen easily with Pågatåg from Eslöv. It is also easy to get to Lund, Landskrona, Malmö and Helsingborg within 30 minutes. It is also close to other attractions such as Söderåsen National Park, beaches by the sea, nearby castles such as Skarhult, Ellinge and Viderup.
The area is full of small-scale businesses such as crafts, art, cafes, exhibitions, beer breweries, flea markets and antique shops.
